Ernie Hawkins has played concerts, festivals, workshops, and millennium celebrations in the United States, Canada, Japan and Europe. He has hit every stop in the road from A Prairie Home Companion to Antone's and the Madrid Jazz Festival. Hawkins has played with blues greats including Son House, Mance Lipscomb, Fred McDowell, Jim Brewer, and the Rev. Gary Davis and appears on Maria Muldaur's Grammy and Handy Award nominated album Richland Woman Blues.

THIS SHOW IS A BENEFIT FOR CALLIOPE! All proceeds from this event will benefit Calliope programs, including our Educational Outreach Program through which we offer free music lessons to youth in the Pittsburgh area.

This show is ALL AGES and is held at Calliope's newly renovated space at Pittsburgh Center for the Arts. The space features a welcoming, club-like atmosphere and quality acoustic treatments. Soda, wine and beer will be available for purchase.
